TV-free activities: 20 ideas for parents with children

Certainly there are many wonderful programs, events, things to learn, and inspirational messages that are on TV. However, one thing we can all agree on is that the vast majority of images, programming and information that each day we are bombarded by television are not useful, healthy, educational, or inspiring in any way.

The following list includes only 20 hundreds of ways that parents can be more proactive in ensuring their children and households are not influenced by the messages often inappropriate and immoral, and images TV portrays. Choose the one you like and be creative and think about their own ideas. More importantly, make the effort to turn off the TV more, and just make time for children and families â € "time spent playing, talking, laughing, education, and uplifting.

1) To appreciate Nature: Take your son (s) out and learn and enjoy nature. See the clouds or the weather, collecting insects, bird watching, learning about different plants and animals, etc.

2) A â € Imaginations "puppet shows, theater, & Super Heroes: Going through the house and collect some clothes, toys and random objects. Then let his son (s) to be creative and use their imagination to just put on a puppet show or make a play. Let them just use your imagination and play — be a princess, super hero or sports star, etc.

3) Books Â, Libraries, and Culture: Go to the library and let your son (s) check out books to read. Develop in them a love of books and reading. Whether it's fiction, educational, or just for fun â € "let's read, and most importantly, read to and with them often. Also, get books to teach about other countries, customs, traditions, food, people, religions, races, etc.

4) A community service and other help: Take your son (s) for the park local school or church, and collecting garbage. Go help an elderly neighbor with their yard. Visit the hospital, orphanage or homeless shelter and help someone in need. When finished, go have a cold.

Fun to 5) in the park or playground: turn off the TV and let your son (s) do the kids love to do â € "Run Wild, fun, use your imagination and play with them (and you).

6) Children Loves to draw, color or paint: Let your son (s), not only to develop his creativity, but just to have fun drawing, coloring or painting. To be most effective â € "do with them!

7) A play together: Turn off the TV and play: four square, hop scotch, tag, 20 questions, paper scissors stone, Musical Chairs, Simon Says, kick the can, Red Rover, jump rope, hide and go seek, etc. Take the dictionary and make a game of spelling words. Play a board game, card games or any other family fun or for Children € ™ s game.

Maps A and Geography: get a map and help your son (s) to learn from all 50 states and capitals. Learn what the countries where they are. Learn the worldâ ™ € s mountain ranges, oceans, rivers, capitals, forests, etc.

9) To build a strong: Do you remember doing that as a child passionate, right? Quit a few chairs and blankets, and some pictures from the card on board and just building a fortress for children. Let them watch a movie, sleep in it, eat a snack on, play on it â € | and play with them!

10) A Just write: Exit some paper and pencils and let only write. Encourage children to use their imagination, be creative, improve their vocabulary and express their feelings write stories, poems, or in his diary, etc.

11) A bag of Stories: Take a bag and place within it many objects to Random House. Then have children use objects to create stories, a puppet show, a play, so play with them and let them use their imagination and creativity.

12) The Art dough: Get some clay or play dough and let children be creative, artistic, and have some fun building things of clay.

13) to make money: Challenge your children to think of ways they can make money (ideas include: lemonade stand, garage sale, collect cans, raise funds, car washing, etc.). Come to think of ways and then teach them how to save interest and principle.

14) After school activities: Rather than watching TV or playing video games â € "join a sports team, dance group, the exploration program, choir, church group, or any other activity extracurricular.

15) A: Yes, the work! Teach children the importance of working at having to help the house and yard: clean room, bathroom, vacuuming, sweeping, mowing the lawn, clean car, etc. Make sure they have, and complete a task each time a day.

16) Â Scrapbooking Fun: Have children cut pictures from magazines or print images Internet of her favorite things and make a scrapbook. It could be: sports figures, heroes, animals, nature, magazine family, etc.

17) A Pen Pals: Find a child from another country and be his pen pal. Write, send photos and updates, develop a friendship, and try to help.

18) Play a with friends. Thata € ™ s it!  turn off the TV, and let together. the children play Let them use their imagination, or just play outside together.

19) A reach people: Pick the phone, email, write a letter to a family member, grandparent, friend, etc. Also, write type â € ~ thank youâ € ™ notes to the elderly, sick, and military in their area.

20) An exercise and eating properly: Go to run or walk together, take them grocery shopping and teach them about proper nutrition, to help you make meals, etc.

Never forget that the activity you children choose is not even what is important â € "want love and attention, not entertainment and nannies! In fact, this is much more important simply turn off the TV or guarantee the entertainment world has no influence on our children, which is about developing relationships, creating friendships, and strengthening of trust with our children. This is to make time for who and what is most important in life.

Do you require parents to be creative, think outside the box and actually put endeavors? Yes? Is it difficult? In many ways, yes! Is it worth it? Of course! And always remember that their children will not only be grateful for the time spent playing, teaching, laugh, love and now â € "but certainly more aware that once they are old enough to realize they had a father who loved and cared enough to turn off the TV and spend time with them!
